Maison de la Bonne Vie is a destination where you can relax and enjoy the garden, pool, communal kitchen and living room. Please let us know your specific requirements. High speed internet, apple tv in the living room will provide much entertainment. Hiking is also a great activity. By foot or mountainbike you can follow different tracks. Horseriding, golf, swimming in the many lakes or fly in a balloon. We will do our best to ensure that you can enjoy whichever activity you choose.

Maison de la Bonne Vie lies in the department Aveyron. A department in the region Occitanië (an aggregation per 01-01-2016 of Languedoc-Roussilon and Midi Pyrénées). The climate is wonderful, early spring from end of March and a long summer until mid October. Walking, mountainbiking, motorbike rides and visiting the many (medieval) towns and villages nearby. During the summer months there are many flea markets vide greniers/brocantes local fetes, etc.

The scenery is great, we are in between the volcanic mountains of the Auvergne and the Pyrenees, which makes for really nice views everywhere. You see castles everywhere and sometimes you need to slow down to allow a herd of cows to pass. The farmer relocates the cows from one meadow to another via public roads. If you would like to experience someone else’s cooking rather than Guido’s, we recommend two great Auberges nearby, each one with its own specialities. A little further away, at a 1 hour’s drive to Laguiole, famous for its knives, is the world renowned 3 Michel star restaurant of Michel and Sebastien Bras. Reservations you need to make 4-5 months in advance.

All reservations can be arranged by us, please let us know what you would like and we will be happy to help you.

The closest vineyards are Entraygues (Vins d'Eentraygues - Le Fel in Entraygues-sur-Truyère and Estaing (Les vignerons d'Olt in Estaing (75 km) producing red, rosé or white. The vineyards are on the steep hills of the Lot valley. For the red wines the grapes Fer Servadou and Gamay are used. The white wines are made from the Chenin blanc variety. Estaing is also a very nice old village to visit where you find the Chateau d’Estaing.
